Tonight, was a night made for bettors. We’ve got an ugly showdown between the Chicago Bears and Washington Commanders. Death row inmates shouldn’t even be subjected to this torture.
We’re fearless gambling fools though, we’ll persevere.
Tonight’s QB bet is between Carson Wentz and Justin Fields (0.5 bonus). I know, I need a drink too.
Wentz actually has been useable for fantasy some weeks. Last week he finished as QB6. The weapons are there to produce.
Washington leads the NFL in dropbacks per game (48). That’s a recipe for success, even if the talent isn’t jumping off the page.
Wentz will be without his first-round wide receiver Jahan Dotson tonight but he’s still loaded with capable pass catchers.
News surfaced this week that the Commanders QB has a biceps strain in his throwing arm which could make an already erratic passer even worse.
Can we really bet on Justin Fields? Ugh.
While the Commanders lead the league in dropbacks, the Bears are dead last (25.8).
They also run the fewest plays per game. Points are created in the passing game but the Bears haven’t figured this out yet.
Based on simple odds that Wentz will throw 20 more passes I’m going to bet on the Commanders QB tonight. Nothing about this makes me feel good. Ya know what does though? Winning money.

An interesting bet on the board screams an easy win. Brian Robinson – fresh off his return from a gunshot wound vs Khalil Herbert (+2.5 bonus) – who is back to bench duty.
Last week saw the return of David Montgomery to the Bears lineup. He immediately took over the backfield with a 72% snap share. Herbert went from bellcow to bench fodder.
He didn’t even see a target in this inept offense.
Robinson eased back into the NFL game but while only playing 29% of snaps he handled 56% of rush attempts.
I don’t see Robinson getting much passing down work but whatever he gets is more than the almost nothing we’ll see from Herbert. Swipe on Robinson and buy yourself a nice lunch on Friday with your winnings.
