Alright, finally a Thursday night game that could feature a touchdown or two!
The 2-4 New Orleans Saints head to the desert for a tussle with the 2-4 Arizona Cardinals.
Vegas likes the Cards -3, and the team total is at 43.5 which is respectable and should mean we see points scored.
For our prop purposes tonight I’m taking Alvin Kamara over Eno Benjamin even with the Cards RB getting five bonus points!
The Saints are without Michael Thomas, Jarvis Landry, Adam Trautman on offense, and some of their best playmakers on defense. This shows an easy path to targets for Kamara who is coming off a 9-target game.
The Saints love getting the ball to Kamara in the screen game. Arizona has seen the second most screens attempted in the league this year vs their defense.
Points in fantasy football come from the passing game. Kamara posted 18 PPR points last week without scoring a touchdown. The Saints have nowhere else to go with the football.
Arizona has been gashed on the ground too. They’ve allowed 25 runs of over 10 yards which is 28th in the league.
Benjamin is a nice player, but he’s hobbled this week as well. I can’t trust a back playing behind this beat-up offensive line either. Justin Pugh was just lost for the season and their center Rodney Hudson is unlikely to play.
Give me all the Kamara here.
TopProp Play: Kamara > Eno (+5)
Do you want to be sneaky? Here’s a kicker prop!
Wil Lutz vs Matt Prater on paper has all the excitement of a funeral. That said, Prater is questionable to play with a bad hip.
Call me crazy but a kicker with a bad hip seems like a bad bet.
TopProp Play: Lutz > Prater
Lutz is no slouch. He’s got a big leg and plenty of Andy Dalton-led drives stall out.
I’m playing off the fact that Prater isn’t 100% and that will either keep him out or limit him severely.
