Last week, I made 10 picks and ended up going 6-4. Not great! However, given some of the volatility and upsets we witnessed, I’ll take it. For week two, I once again fired up the prediction machine and provided a couple of matchups to target.

In week one, the Cardinals allowed 44 points to the Kansas City Chiefs at home while the Las Vegas Raiders allowed 24 points to a Chargers team that lost its top pass catcher, Keenan Allen. Despite that, Justin Herbert still managed 279 yards through the air with three touchdowns against the Raider’s defense. Both teams should find success moving the ball against one another in a game with an implied point total of 51.5. I like Kyler and his rushing upside over Carr and James Conner over Josh Jacobs. The Raider’s backfield breakdown saw 35 snaps for Josh Jacobs, 16 snaps for Brandon Bolden, and 7 snaps for Ameer Abdullah. This has committee written all over it.

The second matchup features two teams that scored a combined 61 points in week one. The Eagles scored 38 points but more importantly allowed 35. The Vikings scored 23 points in a game they had in hand after the first half. The implied point total is currently at 51.5. This game has the recipe for big plays and the potential for a shootout. I’d feel comfortable starting multiple players from both offenses. For TopProp matchup purposes, I like Justin Jefferson over AJ Brown. Against the Lions, AJ Brown had 10 receptions and 155 receiving yards which equaled 24.7 PPR fantasy points. Jefferson, on the other hand, secured 9 catches for 184 yards and two touchdowns worth 39.4 PPR fantasy points. That was good for the top spot among all wide receivers on the week. Again, the Vikings had their matchup with the Packers mostly in hand at half time. I also like Jalen Hurts over Kirk Cousins. Cousins passed for 30+ more yards, but Jalen Hurts rushed 17 times for 90 yards and finished with 5+ more fantasy points on the week. Hurts has a very high floor with his rushing upside and carries top-5 upside weekly.
