Drake's Takes - TNF Week 2 Plays

Welcome to a new take on fantasy football prop bets, TopProp Fantasy Sports.

The new head-to-head prop betting app asks just one question, who will score more fantasy points?

Let’s look at Thursday’s monster showdown in the AFC West between the Chargers and Chiefs.

The first contest is Patrick Mahomes vs Justin Herbert. So who will score more? The KC gunslinger who last week tossed 5 touchdowns or the LA assassin who in two matchups last year vs KC finished as a top 6 option each time.

The Chiefs proved they can still move the ball without Tyreek Hill. Mahomes was masterful picking apart the Cardinals a week ago. This week Mahomes faces a Chargers defense who in week 1 allowed nine pass plays of 15 or more yards, which was 30th in the league.

Guess who led the league in week 1 in passes over 15 yards? Yup, these Chiefs.

Expecting a shootout isn’t news, but we need to decide who will score more.

Being that the game is in Arrowhead and Herbert is without Keenan Allen I’m swiping my TopProp app for Patrick Mahomes.

TNF Play: Mahomes > Herbert (+1)

Next, let’s choose between each offense's top weapon. Who will score more points between Travis Kelce and Austin Ekeler?

I love this type of contest because it isn’t apples to apples. We’ve got a tight end versus a running back.

Ekeler is coming off a very poor usage game where he only played 49% of the LA snaps. Maybe we chalk that up to the Chargers rolling early and saving him for this big Thursday nighter.

Kelce was Kelce in week 1, he had huge target numbers and scored a touchdown.

This to me all comes down to who gets in the endzone. While Kelce is a super stud, Ekeler is likely going to see 5-10 more touches than he will. For that alone, I’m going to swipe Ekeler on my TopProp app.

TNF Play: Ekeler > Kelce (+1.5)
