I've got to admit I'm really excited for tonight's Bills vs Patriots showdown. Not only are there NFL playoff implications but this is a super fun game to bet on.
Here on TopProp, we love to challenge YOU the fan to bet which player will score more fantasy points in a head-to-head matchup. Think you can win? Prove it.
Let's start off the night with the quarterback bets. In this matchup, we see Josh Allen vs Mac Jones (+9 bonus points).
I can give you all the stats about Josh Allen but it comes down to this. He's that damn good. In his last four games vs New England, he's thrown 13 touchdown passes, and zero interceptions and the Bills are averaging over 30 points per game.
You could tell me Mac Jones starts each drive in the red zone and I'd still take Josh Allen here. Will the bonus points matter? They absolutely could. Allen needs to blow out Jones to ensure a win here. Jones only has one game over 20 fantasy points and in three of his last four contests he's failed to reach 13 points. Advantage Allen.
Allen has rushed for over 75 yards in three of his last four games. Tonight the Patriots should look to clamp down on his ground assault but I'm big on Gabe Davis and Isaiah McKenzie having big nights against New England. McKenzie accounted for 36% of the Bills' air yards in Week 12. If the Patriots sell out to stop Stefon Diggs I think Allen feasts on underneath routes to his diminutive slot wideout.
Give me Josh Allen with two passing scores and 70 rush yards and a score on the ground.
Drake's Pick: JOSH ALLEN > MAC JONES
Alright here's a really fun one. Stefon Diggs (+0.5 bonus) vs Rhamondre Stevenson.
Here are the two biggest skill position weapons facing off in a heavyweight battle. I love it. Let's figure out a winner.
Diggs is the main cog in the Bills passing machine. He accounts for a 30% target share while also feasting on 54% of the team's end-zone targets. He's THE guy. But will he be able to shake Bill Belichick's scheme for him tonight? Probably.
In his four regular season matchups vs the Patriots since joining the Bills, he scored four touchdowns and had over 75 yards in three of four games. One of those games was the insane wind game last season.
Rhamondre Stevenson is a fantasy juggernaut. He leads the Patriots in reception, and rushing yards, and is third in receiving yards. Fantasy's RB 8 in PPR has been a season of domination winning mostly as a receiver. Tonight though he has the backfield to himself and Damien Harris is out with an injury.
While Stevenson hasn't set the world on fire as a runner, he's electrified fantasy lineups with his receiving chops. Stevenson has caught six passes in four of his last five contests.
With no one to bogart his touches, I'm all in on Stevenson having a monster night. I'm calling for 80+ yards rushing and another 75+ receiving and a score.
Drake's Pick: RHAMONDRE STEVENSON > STEFON DIGGS
I'm in love with this play and I'm putting $25 down on the Stevenson side. Want to take the Diggs side? Then head over to the app store and download the TopProp Fantasy app and use my code "Drake" for a first-time deposit bonus match up to $50.
