Drake's Takes - Thursday Night Football

While season-long fantasy leagues are in their final weeks, in the world of prop betting it’s just another Thursday.

Tonight’s battle sees the Las Vegas Raiders travel to Los Angeles to clash with the beat-up Rams.

While on paper this game has all the appeal of a root canal, we can find some props that will keep us on the edge of our seats.

First up, Davante Adams vs Josh Jacobs – straight up! Which player will score more fantasy points in a half-point PPR matchup? This is the beauty of TopProp Fantasy. The big question though is who to bet.

Adams and Jacobs have arguably been the best players at their positions over the last few weeks.

Adams has been on a complete tear as the Raiders' only weapon in the passing game. He’s seen an incredible 67 targets in his last five games. In that span, he’s averaging 132.8 receiving yards and 29.8 PPR points. He leads the entire NFL in target share at 32.8%. Simply put he’s the best wide receiver in the NFL. Tonight, he’ll face a Rams defense that ranks 7th in most points allowed to opposing wideouts.

Typically, you’d take Adams versus anyone heads up, but Josh Jacobs this year isn’t just anyone. The top scoring running back in all of fantasy football is on a heater of his own.

His usage is off the charts. Jacobs is averaging over 30 touches per game over the last four weeks. In that time he’s compiled three games of over 20 PPR points and scored four touchdowns. He’s the entire Raiders ground game.

So when you put Adams vs Jacobs as a prop and oh by the way they are playing a Rams team decimated by injuries, who will score more?

The game script should be heavily in the Raiders' favor tonight. For that reason, I’m leaning towards Jacobs with the chance for 25+ carries and well over 100 yards and a score.

Drake’s Take Josh Jacobs > Davante Adams

My second play tonight looks at the game's tight ends—Foster Moreau of the Raiders vs the Rams Tyler Higbee (+0.5 bonus).

Per PFF, Higbee has caught 10 of his 13 targets in games started by John Wolford. The issue here is that Higbee isn’t running as many routes as he once was. Over the last two weeks, we’ve only seen Higbee participate in 37% and 54% of Rams routes. That’s not great.

Moreau on the other hand needs to find the end zone to be effective. When he does he can be a top 10 option for the position, as he was in Weeks 10 and 12. Moreau has not eclipsed 45 yards once this season. This is really a bet on who scores a touchdown.

Light a candle and say a prayer for our boy Foster Moreau who hopefully can pick up where the Seattle tight ends left off last week with over 70 yards and a touchdown as a group.

Drake’s Take Foster Moreau > Tyler Higbee (+0.5 bonus)
