Drake's Takes - Thursday Fun

Hey, a fun Thursday night game! Who knew they made these anymore?

The Tennessee Titans travel to Lambeau Field to battle with the Green Bay Packers.

Don’t look now but maybe Aaron Rodgers isn’t dead yet. Last week’s three-touchdown performance has folks thinking the Pack might be able to make a playoff run. That run can’t stumble out of the starting blocks against a stingy Titans defense.

Tonight’s QB prop matches Rodgers against Ryan Tannehill (+4 bonus points).

If you look at last week's numbers, Tannehill beat Rodgers straight up.

Both signal callers found unlikely targets for multiple touchdowns. Does that continue tonight? We’ll see.

I don’t trust either teams receiving corps. The Titans count on the ghost of Robert Woods and the often-irrelevant Nick Westbrook-Ikhine.

Rodgers counters with Allen Lazard, the returning Randall Cobb, and this week's waiver wire darling Christian Watson.

Tannehill returned from injury to lead the Titans in Week 10 while attempting a season-high passes (36).

In weeks where Tannehill was the Titans starter Tennessee ranks:

- Bottom seven in pass attempts

- Bottom three in 20+ yard attempts

- Bottom seven in passing yards

- Bottom six completions

- Top ten in rush attempts

We know what the Titans want to do. But, if the Packers can force them to throw, we’ll have a fun night.

I have a horrible feeling about this but I’m taking Aaron Rodgers here. I think at home, in the elements, with momentum on their side, the Packers keep things rolling.

Rodgers is never going to blow up. He’s never gone over 300 yards this year. It was only last week that he threw for more than two touchdowns.

TopProp Play: Rodgers > Tannehill (+4)

I believe Rodgers has a LITTLE bit of magic left in that right arm. Tonight I’m betting on it.

At running back we’ve got a heavyweight battle between Derrick Henry and Aaron Jones (+4 bonus points).

This one is hard. King Henry could take over a game at any time. On the other side, Aaron Jones should continue as the focal point of the Packers offense.

In two of their last three contests, the Packers have given Jones 20+ touches which have led to productive outings.

This scares me though. Henry has six double-digit totals to his name this year. Maybe Week 10 was just an aberration. His 19 carries for 53 yards were his worst showing since Week 2.

Henry has massive touch totals this year. He’s only played in one game where he didn’t see 17 touches. He’s had seven weeks with over 20!

Even if the Titans lose Henry, he is such a force in their offense that his touches will give us the W.

Green Bay on the season is 29th in the league in rushing yards allowed. That’s music to the King’s ears.

Give me Derrick Henry overcoming the four-point bonus and still winning the prop!
