The Bears offense sucks.
It’s a Monday and we have to watch the Bears offense. Ugh.
We can make this work. Trust me. Winning money makes even the worst days alright. Let’s go!
When you think Patriots vs Bears, wide receiver play isn’t top of mind. That’s where I’m going to win some cash though.
Jakobi Meyers is perfect for this game. He’s boring. Nobody is excited to watch him. He never scores.
His counterpart Darnell Mooney has been a major disappointment for fantasy. He hasn’t topped 100 yards in any game yet. He’s only gathered 5 receptions once. It’s pretty disgusting. Our friends at TopProp are giving Mooney one bonus point tonight.
Chicago operates at a snail's pace. Entering Week 7 they rank 31st in plays per game. They also are 31st in dropbacks per game. This team simply doesn’t want to throw the ball.
When they do, Mooney is likely the target. Last week he sported a 42% target share. On the season he bogarts 43% of the team's air yards. He is the Bears passing game.
Meyers likely welcomes back his starting quarterback Mac Jones tonight.
I’m torn here but I’m going to take Jakobi Meyers because Bill Belichick is going to focus on taking away the one weapon that the Bears have. Neither guy sets the world on fire and I’m worried that it will only take one play for Mooney to hit. Let’s light a candle and say a prayer for Meyers tonight.
TopProp Play: Meyers > Mooney (+1)
For the second prop let’s look at the tight end matchup between Cole Kmet (+2.5 bonus) vs Hunter Henry.
Henry ran 83% and 85% of routes over the last two weeks. That’s led to over 20% of targets those weeks and two top 15 PPR finishes.
Kmet actually has better route participation numbers but this terrible QB play doesn’t allow for any consistency.
It’s a struggle for Kmet to get over 5 points most weeks. Even with the bonus, I’m going with Hunter Henry.
TopProp Play: Henry > Kmet (+2.5)
Good luck everyone!
