Each week tap into my alter ego, Mr. Monday Night to give you my favorite winning plays for the night. Well, lucky for us, we get two Monday night games this week! Double the fun and chances to win!
The opener takes place in Buffalo where the Bills host the Titans. Buffalo of course is coming off that opening day beat down of the Rams, while the Titans dropped a heartbreaker to the Giants at home.
The TopProp matchup for this game I like is Stefon Diggs vs Derrick Henry. On TopProp we play half-point PPR so it gives Henry some life, but not much. I can’t find any scenario in which Tennessee keeps this game remotely close. Last week Henry lost passing down work to Dontrell Hilliard. Well, he’s out this week. Can we see King Henry score a touchdown or two to keep this matchup close? I don’t see it. In Week 1 the Titans allowed 8.74 yards per passing attempt which was 31st in the NFL. The only team worse was the Rams who faced these Bills. Diggs is going to smash. Oh, and Gabriel Davis is questionable to play. In the nightcap, my beloved Philadelphia Eagles host the Minnesota Vikings. Now you want to talk about a matchup, how about A.J. Brown vs Justin Jefferson? Last week Jefferson went nuclear with his 9-184-2 performance. Not to be outdone, Brown caught 10 balls for 155 yards. The good folks at TopProp at gifting Brown four bonus points. Listen I’m not a homer when it comes to fantasy or betting but A.J. Brown is at home and he’s getting four bonus points? The Birds are going to feed Brown and excite the home crowd. Jefferson is a hard man to keep down but Philly’s elite corner pairing of Darius Slay and James Bradberry should provide a stiff enough test to allow their teammate A.J. Brown to come out on top.
