It’s almost here. It being (off) seasonal depression. That time of year where we have to go without football for roughly five months. I don’t like it, you probably don’t like it, and we have to sit and watch as wives across the United States rejoice. However, we’ve got at least two weeks of football, DFS, and sports betting left (I’ll tentatively ignore the pro-bowl) and I know I’ll be making the most of it.
I’ve got a few picks between the Championship matchups this week; Jalen Hurts, Ja’Marr Chase, and Travis Kelce.
I’ll kick it off with the obvious choice here, Travis Kelce. He was heads and shoulders above all other tight ends in the regular season finishing with 104 catches, 1,300 yards, and 12 touchdowns. He was also heavily relied on in the Chief’s divisional matchup with Jacksonville where he was targeted 17 times. He pulled in 14 of those targets converting them to 98 yards and two touchdowns.
Kelce will be leaned on again this weekend in a game where both teams are projected to be in the mid 20’s in points scored. Fire him up with confidence.

I’ll move to the WR position with this next one and its Ja’Marr Chase. Kansas City was a top-10 matchup for wide receivers this season and Cincinnati passes at the seventh highest rate in the NFL (61%). Additionally, Chase has the second best matchup advantage this weekend in terms of WR/CB grades. He gets it done in the short, intermediate, and deep parts of the passing game and the Bengals will be motivated as they once again opened up as underdogs.
Play: Ja’Marr Chase > All other WR’s
Finally, I’ve got Jalen Hurts at the QB position this weekend. Philly may have to square off against the league’s best defense, but Hurts offers the most upside of any QB this weekend on the ground. Jalen averaged 50 rushing yards/game and scored 13 times throughout the season. I don’t think he’ll be the leading passer this weekend, but what he is capable of accumulating on the ground makes up for a lot through the air. Hurts also led all QB’s in fantasy points per game with 26.8. Mahomes was second in that stat category with 25.8/game but he enters the weekend nursing a high ankle sprain.
